The Lakers are still undefeated

The Lakers are still undefeated. The Purple and Gold have extended their playoff win streak to six, after beating the Jazz, 120-110.Utah played hard and rather well, but much like in game one, couldn't complete the come back and leave L.A with a victory. Too much looking at the Lakers fannies.Through the first two games, L.A has rarely been threatened but this could very well change when the Jazz go home. L.A has rarely ever not held the lead so far, which doesn't bode well for Utah.Ultimately, Deron Williams needs to continue balling, like the second half of this game, if Utah wants to win a game. His aggressiveness and quickness on offense gave the Lakers some fits and should be exploited in Game 3.The Lake-Show may just have too many athletes for the Jazz to run with, but this next game should give us an answer. Game three is a must win for the Jazz. Both teams have efficient, machine like offenses, but the Lakers has that fresh new car smell about them.Along with that, there defense has picked up alot from the end of the season and Lamar and Gasol's length is giving the Jazz fit's The Jazz need this next game.. Last week ASU Athletic Director Lisa Love (a former USC Volleyball coach) cut the cheerleading program when pictures of the Sun Devil Cheer Squad posing in their underwear hit the internet via the website The Dirty .Reports now indicate the squad will be reinstated in the 2009 school year and have new uniforms.Their current uniforms (pictured at left) do not cover substantially more skin than the now infamous underwear shot does. So, when the new squad takes the field in 2009, they will be sporting these uniforms:Hmmm I don?t know, those might get a bit hot in the Phoenix sun.* This is a joke people Actually the whole story was proven to be wrong.

This rumor spread like wildfire throughout the internet and main stream media last week. ASU Athletic Director Lisa Love never wrote the email stating she was cutting the cheer program that have been attributed to her.The ASU Cheer Program is alive and well and will be on the field at the start of football season. No disciplinary action has been taken against the girls for the underwear shot. And that is good, because I was all prepared to come here and rant on the hypocrisy of it all. That underwear shot shows NOTHING that a bikini or their uniforms do not show. In fact, the underwear shot shows LESS than an average bikini.Case in point, the USC Song Girls in their USC bikinis:So rest assured Sun Devil Nation, Sparky and the Cheerleaders are safe and sound and will not suffer heat prostration from the old school style unis.-Your Gridiron Goddess This article is also featured on Gridiron Goddess.

A look at the suffering caused by the mosquito-borne disease that kills nearly a million people each year around the world.. The NFL has a lot of information to sort through. There are new allegations that Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones may have paid for a club to be shot up. One of their ‘character players’ Marvin Harrison is under investigation.

Cedric Benson is possibly involved in a police brutality dispute and now there are eight tapes to watch and pass judgement on. The NFL has confirmed to the New York Times that Matt Walsh has given Roger Goodell tapes in which offensive and defensive signals in regular season games against the Bills, Chargers, Browns and Dolphins. The tapes also include the 2002 AFC Championship game against the Steelers.Absent from the tapes is the elusive walk-through of the Rams before their Super Bowl match up with the Pats. There are a few things one needs to analyze in all of this. The first question is whether or not the Patriots and Belichick came clean to Goodell about these tapes during the first investigation. If the tapes provided by Walsh are duplicates of the “destroyed evidence” than this will all be water under the bridge. If these tapes, however, turn out to be new information not disclosed by the Patriots, owner Robert Kraft or Belichick than Goodell will be steaming. The NFL Commissioner seems to be forgiving for those who are honest and work with him. It is only after he finds out that players have not been fully honest with him does he allow the full power of the league to come down on the individuals.

If these tapes are new to Goodell and the Patriots did not disclose the information to the NFL than look for more punishment.Let’s say that these tapes are new to Goodell…how do you punish a team for actions taken back in 2000 or 2002? Certainly there would be more fines and a demand for a public apology to all the fans of the NFL. I believe fines are enough and I do not believe they will be as high as the first round of fines. The major issue in the original SpyGate was the blatant disregard for a memo sent by the league reminding coaches of the rule before the start of last season. If there is proof that the Pats taped the Rams’ walk-through than there is a completely different situation. If that is the case I do not think that the league would have any other choice than to suspend Belichick for at least a year, maybe more. He would have directly compromised the league’s biggest game and blatantly disregarded any integrity of the game.
